LSD question

i just bought a TYPE R LSD to install in my gsr tranny.... has anyone here done this b4? is there any other parts i would need get to do this swap? or would it be a straight swap just like i think it will be?

woww, ur nuts. you bought a type r lsd and then came questioning if it will go in a gsr trans, and if anyone's done that before? google?

should be a direct fit for the gsr trans however, from what i've read.

i know it will fit, but i was just wondering if there is any other parts i need to get since the type r tranny and the gsr tranny are not technically the same..... (diff gears, diff differential, diff final drive, ect....even tho they are all interchangeable with one another)..... i guess my question is that if i would need to upgrade/replace any other parts in the tranny while i have it apart...

I would do a complete rebuild since its going to be apart. New bearings and all. This kit costs around 200-250 bucks. Should be good especially with an itr diff.

that's not bad at all..... i can afford that....so i should just call the dealer and get the rebuild kit for it?
