there are a couple things that could be the problem... i rebuilt my ls over the winter with ITR pistons (210 PSI) first thing i would check is the cam shafts.... make sure the little marks on the gears line up if not that is your problem.... if that is good second pull the head and make sure...

im not sure if you are interested but i may be willing to let my ls go..... i just rebuilt my ls with itr pistons... the trans crunches 3rd... it would come with 2 ecus chipped and non chiped, motor. 2000 miles on it, linkage i would be looking to get somewhere around 1200 for everything...
