Started to run out of wood a month ago so every few days I cut up a bunch of pallets I find for free. Good workout and free heat!

this whole load will burn for 3 whole days or 6 half days.

Love this car lol

So I had an incident with a piece of large asphalt on the highway the other night. Fucked 2 tires but they hold air. Rims not bent as far as I can see. Alignment off but fixed it. Ordered all new Lca, endlinks and tie rod ends for like 150 bucks.

aero panel missing too. Weight reduction I guess.

also replaced my leaking rear caliper.

maybe a combination of both? it was at night and a shit part of 146 by majestic heading up to whitinsville. im not 100% positive what was there.

So the front end has been replaced... I had one bad tierod and one of the front LCA cradle sides was bent. All smoothed out and replaced the LCAs with SPK, tie rods and endlinks are moog.
I bought new snows for the stock wheels so those are mounted and balanced.
mine of my enkeis is bent I’m getting it popped tomorrow to get fixed.
I ordered a set of fallen rt660 for this season in 235/45r17. Last time I had falkens I had a 92 Honda Civic that I rolled over. Wish me luck.

the car looks really low on 215/45r17 instead of 235/45r17. love taking advantage of factory performance parts / lowering springs. i cant wait to get the 660s on soon!

next mod after alignment... crash bolts for camber.

alignment is completed, bent wheel is off to get repaired.

car feels good, really TOIGHT. gonna work on the kia for a bit today then drag the buell out of the closet.

I still had a bit of an issue and the konis are under warranty so I pulled the assembly. The new top hat is bad and the insert is noticeably leaking.

swapped with this sweet stock assembly I got from a friend for just this purpose lol and I’m back on the road in about 40 minutes.

Yes, hahaha

there is a guy who swapped a 1.6T into a 2013+ kia rio. a little tight compared to my chassis. mostly plug and play though.

The whole engine? I'd totally do it as long as it bolts up to the same manual transmission. I assume it does... and I wonder what "mostly" plug and play really means.

the engine is plug and play with a manual. you will need the turbo engine harness. most of that "just works" .

the rest is making sure everything fits, possibly beating the firewall up a bit to fit the turbo, and asking if you really want to spend 3k on a 6-7k car.

Yeah don't want to spend 3k on a Soul... but it if prevents buying the wife another car earlier, it might be the way to go. Good to know it's mostly plug and play. Time to research more.

Yesterday I spent some time to replace the Jetta fender I hammered out last fall. I paid 300 shipped for an aftermarker fender painted tornado red from a company in Toronto. It arrived perfectly and with only one small defect in the paint that looks almost like a thumbprint lol. Either way I was pleased with the cost and results.

it was from partify.
