Easiest? Go get a D16Z6 and bolt it up to your stock sedan transmission... it's already one of the best 4G D trannies available. Add intake/header/exhaust and you'd be looking at 135hp or so at the crank. You can reuse all your stock mounts. You just have to wire in VTEC and a VTEC control system, then convert the car from DPFI to MPFI.
Do you HAVE to have VTEC or do you just want more power? A D16A6 with new pistons or a ZC might be easier for you, and still give you good results.
