91 civic mini me swap

i was wondering whats needed for the dx mini me swap. which head would be better the D16Z6 or D16Y8. im getting this info for a friend. he purchased the d15b2 and wants vtech. any helpful info would be greatly appreciated. the car is a 1991 civic 4speed

he told me that he had the usdm model instead of the jdm. now if someone knows how the wiring or ecu would work
