"i just got done installing a obd1 h22a in my 97 civic with a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness on p13 ecu, and when i started it up the rpm just start to climb up to 4000 rpm and stays there. now, i checked my throttle cable and there's still slack on them. what else could be causing this. pls. i need help and any advice would be helpful. thanks in advance."
well last time, my rpm would go to 4000 rpm when i started the car but i found the problem. that was my tps sensor being out of place. now i started the car again and this time the rpm bounces from 3000 to 1000 (up and down, you get the picture) and it will not stop. i also don't get a check engine light so i don't know what else it could be. can this be a vaccum problem or something else. can this also be caused by not having a paper gasket btwn the tps sensor and the t-body? pls. any help would do. thanks also again in advance.
