not much, if any... but start putting upgrades like a turbo and the ls would blow the other one out of the water (considering they were both setup to the same peripherials)
well i would say the exact same +/- 1% if the ls/vtec has a gsr head and they both have itr pistons the only diffrence would be like 30cc for the difference in in stroke
Or You Could Do Gsr Rods On A Ls Crank And Raise The Compression But You Will Be Out Of The Hole With The Piston And You Better Clay The Motor To Make Sure It Clears The Head/valves
i already know im stickin with the gsr bottom, just dont want it to haunt me later if the ls would make more power, but yes, i am sticking with the gsr
