best motor for a 92 concerto

hey guys jus curious as to which motor would b best for my concerto my 1st project car as a weekend racer when am bored

Assuming the mounts and engine bay size are similar to a Civic or the Rover 200/400, probably a D16 SOHC VTEC or a B series swap- depending on your budget. Not sure what's available down where you are in terms of engines either.
