Honda wants $112 for the valve seals, I may just go with a eBay head gasket set and that way I'll get the valve seals, camshaft seal and my valve cover seal. That's the smart thing to do.

Man, this is turning into a build thread.
 
It's funny, I'm broke but I'm not broke. I have less than $50 from my car purchace but it's payday tomorrow so that's $450 and the dude from the red car I flipped owes me $1200, minus $300 I owe my dad for the motor. Then another $30 for the pinstripe removal supplies then I owe my mom $50 because of the idiots at the machine shop. I asked then for a rebuild quote so I dropped off the motor a month ago, phoned 3 times, went in twice still didn't have a price so I went to pick it up today and they charged me $50 for hot tanking it when I wanted a quote.

All in, I just have to bleed the brakes now. :)

Alright buddy, could you do me (and yourself) a favor and get an estimate from ebay.ca and I will give you more for your money and also give you a good quality brand considering your situation and the fact that I want this gasket set gone. I really do not need it, and the gaskets are brand spanking new. The gasket set would include: headgasket, valve stem seals, valve cover oil o-rings, valve cover gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, intake manifold gasket, and every other gasket you could imagine for your top end of your D16a6. I will sell you this gasket set plus brand new NGK (blue) spark plug wires that I bought for $80. All this will only cost you $100 shipped, and if you need another or extra D16a6 valve cover I will send that free of charge. This gasket set is made by "Safety Gaskets". If you could let me know that would be awesome. As well, if there is anything else you would want for your EF please let me know, I am just trying to get rid of some stuff that is useless to me, but may be useful to other people on here.

Dude, I would so take you up on that offer but I need the D16Z6 seals, I know some seals work but half of them may go to waste.
 
i got valve seals that you can have if you want them just pay for shipping. they came in my head set and im not going to use them cuz i am swapping the motor in less than a month in my sedan lol

That would be sick! What motor were they for? And what motor are you swapping in? Also, have any idea what shipping would be, I imagine pretty cheap.
 
yeah it might cost about 10 bucks for 2 day air lol i get a monster discount on fedex cuz i work for skywest--- they are for a d15b2 but from what i have heard they are exactly the same but you can have them along with a bunch of other seals lolim swaping in my b16a that i had in my crx lol that is until i build a motor for it im thinking high compression ls vtec lol
 
Yeah, but those are for a 1.5. I have the 1.6L valve stem seals atleast. It is completely your decision, I am just saying.
