I swear my car is Y49 underneath.

Power steering is coming out. I didn't tell you guys about the bad part. One of the 2 mounting spots didn't match up well and I dont trust it, it drops the tie rods hella low and at a bad angle. To really do a legit swap you have to swap out the proper rear cross member.

I found some destroyed bushings so I'll try to find some better control arms in my Honda stash.

My front brakes were seizing! Every now and then my drivers side would lock up pretty bad so I jacked it up and BOTH front wheels would not spin by hand. I tried it while running and pumping the brake and still frozen.

So I jumped into my EF stash and I found rusted but new rotors, almost new pads (mine were hella cracked) and some plain calipers. I got everything installed but I still have to bleed the brakes...ran outta time.

I wanna strip the shell and start over....everything is effed up! :(

Is there anything different between Civic and CRX caliapers? Or any differences between years? My car is a 1990 Si and I put on 1989 Civic Si caliapers that still had fluid in them so I don't think they froze.

Anyway I tried to bleed the brakes and no air came out but they're still squishy. I had the banjo bolts off for a while so maybe some air bubbled up into the system?

Found the problem on my brakes, I guess I blead them correctly. The pins and bolts were stiff from sitting on a parts car. I also noticed 2 of thoes little clips for the pads were gone.

I took the calipers off then got some special sand paper from work that the mechanics use for machining brake rotors and sanded the rust off the rotors with the car jacked up and in 3rd gear. Then with the same sand paper and a block I worked on the pads a bit because they were gouged. Then I bolted the calipers back on and greased up the pins and bolts like a mofo and put the missing pad clips on.

After all that I can now spin the wheels freely and no more seizing! :) Thanks for not commenting for the last 6 posts HondaSwap.

And power steering is out tomorrow.

I'm picking up a '91 Integra RS for $500. Super clean shell but blue interior and shampane exterior (not factory of course). Just needs a battery. :) I don't know if I will keep it or flip it yet.

I went and checked it out today. It hasn't run in 2 years so the battery was flat dead. We popped in a good battery and cranked it over with no spark plugs. Then put the plugs back in and it sparked up well. No ticks and only some oil burned at the beginning start up, after that it was good. After it warmed up I moved it out of the parking spot and ran it back and forth in the apartment parking lot lol. It runs really smooth and the tranny is slick.

It will need a big tune up and a lot of gaskets replaced when I pull it and the shifter bushings are almost not there. You can move the shifter from 1st to 5th lol. Even if I dont want it by the time I bring it home I can sell it for more than $500 and I think I'll get my money back in parts.

I also got my corner lights and I'm pissed. They're gay. I want to return them but I would break even by the time I shipped them back. :( I paid 60 fukin bucks for this crap!

The bumper lights look good but not the corners. I'm picking up the teg tomorrow after work.

Well they advertised this.

Got the car home yesterday but I didn't have much time to play with it (ZZ Top in town ;)) But on the drive home it seemed to be great. The only thing that bugged me was the shifter bushings. It has 180-185 PSI compression across, tranny was smooth but looonnnngggg gears lol. It has been maintained well, new timing belt, fuel filter, plugs, cap, rotor, some gaskets, ect. The valve cover was so bad so I had to do something with it. When I took it off to paint the head was super clean to my suprise. The car also has brand new brakes all around, which I plan on taking. :)

So what now? Is the LS swap worth it compared to my mini-me? If not I'm positive I can sell the whole car for at least $1000.

holy truck batman! lol that thing sits high! but the ls swap is definately worth it. ive had an ef with an ls and one with the z6 which is mine now... its slowwwww compared to my ls one
