distributor cap

ok.. i went to get a new cap and rotor from autozone the other day for my b16, and the cap wont fit.. its just a tad too small.. so what motor would i get the cap for.. ??

B16? Try either a Del-Sol VTEC cap, or maybe one from a GSR?

yea.. i tried the del sol vtec one.. its the one that didnt fit.. the 99 si was the same. they were out of stock on the GSR cap..

that's weird...did you compare the two caps? how was it too small?

Try checking the pn on the distributor and check with the honda dealer to see which application it's from. Since you tried the two b16 caps, it's probably the gsr one, but I never really thought the caps were very different. You learn something new everyday.

yea.. i compared the two when i removed mine.. it didnt line up .. the one i have is a little bit bigger..

and i just checked autozone.com and the part #s are different for GSR and DelSol VTEC distr. caps..
