other than wiring the 4 wires for vtec am i safe using my f22 harness from my prelude s? will i need to extend some wires? if so which ones?

Yes, use your old harness. Yes, you will extend wires. It is self-explanatory, so I doubt anyone has kept track of which ones you'll extend. Don't worry about messing up, just double check a wiring diagram if you're unsure about a certain plug.
