i dont think there would be too much BS. you probably just have to get the jpanese VIN imputed into the US gov. documents. other than that if you live out of cali. it probably would be legal. not 100% sure.

You would have to make sure you could run it on our shitty 91 octane gas first off, then you would have to run it through the US Department of transportation and make sure all the lights/covers are legal in the US. Next would be emissions testing. If you pass all of that, then you can drive it all day in the US as long as you keep all your documentation with you.
