first swap. need help

I have a 97 civic lx. i am trying to find out what would be the best choice for me. i dont want to spend to much money but i want a good motor. any help would be appreciated

This is probably the wrong section, but B18B or B16A2 would be good. But I have no idea what the going prices for the swaps are anymore.

a little more info would help. What are your plans? Something to build? Gonna go NA or boost? Or you just want something with a little more power but still gets good mileage?

im looking for something thats more powerful and a daily driver. i dont want to boost it

do the mini-me swap= d15 block with the d16 vtec head/intake manifold/and ecu. best bang for your buck. Buy a header and a new high-flow cat and you have yourself and extra 20-30 (estmated) hp and an excellent daily driver.
