It's slightly more complicated than that. A lot of it depends on the quality of your tuning. A motor that's tuned well can handle a decent amount of boost. A motor that's tuned crappily or not at all is likely to blow up after too long.

That's part of the answer, yes. But a chipped ECU isn't a "one-size-fits-all" solution. A chipped ECU needs to be programmed and tuned specifically for whatever engine setup you're going to be running.

I always wonder why, the ones who ask the question never actually question themselves.....Its just not getting the ecu tune....its just not bigger rc infectors....its just not oem parts that will put the power to the ground...specify your needs and do it right....
well my buddy uses his lab top..he hooks it up to his ecu and does everything so i guess i could do that and be my best bet..?h22 stroker kit...drop compression..might be costly but for high boost right?

yes if he does that, he's probably got the stuff to tune. you also need a wide band lambda sensor, and a PLX device or something to feed it to your EMS. Make sure he's got experiance tuning hondas. the quality of the tune will determine how long your motor lasts, and that's exponentially more true with boost
