Time. Its better to multitask instead of doing everything in a specific order. Once you release the brake and clutch the rev is already there. If you release brake then rev you waste a little time.

your exactly right, in autoX, 10 seconds is the diffrance between stock hondas and a corvette. Where ever a little time can be bought the better.
