ive posted this on another forum.. and now im coming
here for your opinion..
i have a 98 honda civic coupe and was debating on 2 swaps
that i might possibly do..and maybe you guys can help
me decide... 1) b16a2 (SI) or 2) b18b (LS) i need to choose
by this week..
depends on what you want to do, turbo, n/a do you want vtec do you want a bunch of tq? do you want Hp do you have a lot of money to spend? answer those and maybe we can lead you in the path. me personally i would go ls then go ls/vtec or if you not into taking apart an engine just go b16 or for the more bang for the buck go b18c1/5
MY PROBLEM IS 99-00 B16 BOLTS RIGHT UP BUT ITS TORQUELESS
B18B LS BOLTS UP BUT WITH A COUPLE THINGS NEEDED...
BUT THE TORQUE BACKS UP FOR THE HORSEPOWER
THIS IS GOING INTO A 98 COUPE.. AND WAS WONDERING
HOW HARD IS IT. OR WHAT PARTS ARE NEEDED TO SWAP
IN A 94 B18B MOTOR?
CAUSE THIS LS MOTOR IS A 94 AND COMES WITH A GSR TRANNY
convert the motor to ob2
dizzy
injectors (not sure if you have to)
few miscellaneous little sensors
or
convert to obd1 whihc is a much better choice. You need a conversion harness and a couple little parts. I never had to convert so someone else can tell you exactly what you need.
