how much hp can the stock d16z6 crankshaft withstand just wondering

I'm not sure of an excat number but I do remember another guy on a honda site that used to boost his stock D16Z6 with 20+ psi of boost and used it as a daily driver. Although he rarely got much more then 20,000 miles out of it befre he broke something.

The tranny will die before the crankshaft does.

and the sleeves will crack, and rods will fall through the waterjackets...

the crank is quite possibly the strongest piece of a honda motor.

why do so many stock z6 motors launch rods through the sides of the block?

yes i figured it was the massive amount of torque the motor has when vtech kicks in y0

i just found it odd that the z6 tend to toss rods

saw on in the junkyard this weekend actually, with a nice window on the front of the block...

my integra came with an ls motor with one rod through the front and one through the back...

never seen an F series launch a rod though... ever...
i have never seen one die either, they lose power, smoke like a 90 year old hooker with emphazima, but never one with a blow rod...
