I am really tired now so this will be quick and I should have pics within a few days to follow.
I was driving home tonight down a 4 lane main road near ccsu after hanging out with my brother, cousins and their friends. I was driving the speed limit 45mph because I had a cop about 10 car lengths behind me. As I am driving I notice this fucktard losing control sliding all over the road about 400 feet ahead. He must have been doing atleast 65 or more. It looked like he had regained control but I was wrong. All the sudden he is sliding sideways towards me ( I am in the furthest right lane)I move over as far as I could which was about half way into the next lane over. I couldn't move all the way over since there was oncoming traffic. The car hit me really hard, a nice front end stuff, and then he dragged all the way down the passengers side of my truck. My air bags went off, the front end is crushed, the passengers side tires were all off of the rims, my rear axle was pretty much under my rear bumper. The cars trunk and rear fender well were in front of my truck. I think I might have ran over part of the car. Everything happened so quick, I don't know what really happened to his car. I didnt even check out the other car. The front seat of the had broke, and they had to extricate all 3 of the passengers. Last I heard they were all alive but were in rough shape. I was able to walk right out of my truck, but was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. I was the only one in my truck. The car was about 200 ft behind my truck. I really do believe from 45mph that my truck didnt move at all from the point of impact.
The hospital was hell and ambulance ride was hell too. I think I am in more pain from that fucking neck brace and the emt not properly straping me down so I was sliding all over the stretcher. I was in there for 3 hours not being able to move at all. They exrayed my neck and I am fine. They just said I am going to be sore for a few days. The hospital experience was worse than the accident itself.
A friend was talking with the cop who witnessed the accident, and he was thanking god that I was in front of him or else he would have be in the accident. I guess this is the only time I was glad I had a cop behind me. I was not asked one question by the police about what happened. The cop that was behind me was very shaken up also. This had to have been the scariest thing I have ever been in. You just have no control and it happens so quick. I just thank god that I wasn't seriously hurt and that no one (so far) in the other car died.
It just pisses me off that some fucking asshole fucking around on a public road could affect me so much. His bad decision fucks me over with nothing to drive until I can pickup a rental, incoveinencing me, my family and friends, and now I might not be able to have as nice of a vehicle due me not being able to have a nice down payment. JUST THINK BEFORE YOU FUCK AROUND ON PUBLIC ROADS, if something happens it doesn't only affect you but it affect a lot of people.
For all the Chevy and fullsized truck haters, Chevy can build a safe truck. I was lucky not to have a scratch on me. They were saying if I was in a smaller vehicle I would have been dead or seriously hurt. I need to decide if I want to get the Silverado SS, 1500hd, 2500, 1500z71, or an Avalanche.
Man I loved that truck, anyone that knows me knows I took care of it and got pissed off at even the slightest scratch. I was very anal with that truck. Oh well shit happens.

and yes...trucks can be good and bad...I'm from a family raised in trucks in NM...where we actually use them for truck...but I hate the glorified SUV/Truck people in the big cities that are afraid to even put a load of something in them...or consider a speedbump off-roading.
