k20a2 head problem

Hello i just recently joined this form & im having a problem with the head of my k20a2 motor. The problem is that my "valve seats", as the mechanic said, are bad & around my area i cant seem to find any. Can anyone plz help me out? explain to me what these valve seats are used for & where I can get it? I'd really appreciate the help

SEAT, VALVE SPRING

They are what the valve slides through and it's the base of each valve spring to sit on.

Valve seats are what the valve seals against.
Correct me if I'm wrong...

If those are bad, take it to a machine shop and have them cut the seats. Or if it isn't terrible, you can lap them by hand.

Valve Seats based on the part number is as I spoke of in my first post. Thats the description Honda gives.

Valve seat is also used (more commonly) as the ridge and seat of each valve port on the head (piston side of the head)

If the above is bad.....yes....some machining is in order (I would have a machine shop do it.....most mechanics source that stuff out)
