I have a used k20z1 taken from a car that was bought the previous owner said it was an k20a1 but upon my inspection I found it to be a z1, can someone tell me what this engine would sell for because its taking up space in my garage in kodak Tennessee

The k20z1 is pretty much a k20a with different intake/exhaust manifolds and a slightly different cam profile.

So, you weren't really lied to - it basically is a k20a. I would target a similar selling price. It's possible it may be slightly more or less desirable for those differences - i'm not sure.

Can you tell me what this engine might be worth I know it was running when the car was bought but the car was parted out and the engine left in my garage

mileage will certainly be a factor (and proving it with a vin/etc), but you're in the 800-1800 range probably.

Wide, yes, but location and shipping and what not will be factors in the selling price.

Just curious because I have it posted for sale for 300 dollars

i would raise the price and post it in the classifieds here and other places. if you're willing to strap it to a pallet and ship it, it will sell.
