looking at a gsr any advice

I'm going to look at a gsr obd 2. The motor was hydro locked. I was wondering if anyone had any advuce on what to look for. He told me the motor had a bottom end noise. The kid wants like 500 for the motor. I was thinking of picking it up to build. If anyone has any input for me that would be helpful please let me know.

yea your probably going to need a new crank.obviously bearings and hardware...check the rods and pistons for bends or cracks

yea tell him you will take it for $400 the head is worth that...
the block i dunno..you might be able to part it out or rebuild

i would buy and sell them if i could get more than 500 for a gsr head
type-r heads here go for around 550

i told the kid i want to have a machine shop look at it. so im going to pick the motor up monday and should have an update sometime within the week hopefully i will have some good news. thanks for all the input
