I was just looking at the MTX website. They have enclosures with two 12" subs, or two 10" subs. There are also two tweeters on the top of the enclosure, so these are supposed to be full range. Sounds pretty neat to me. I am thinking about going with just a set of components up front, and this enclosure in the back, and forgetting about rear speakers. How does that sound?

It's not a bad setup for a hatchback. If you have the cash to spend, I'd still recommend putting a quality set of speakers in the stock locations and then mounting the sub in a box on its own. You'll get better imaging, and you'll also avoid the harshness that usually comes with the horn tweeters typical in combo boxes like that.
