the car that rammed my rex was going 45mph and i was sitting still - the ass end of my rex didn't look even 1/3 that bad and no glass was broken. i think it shows how shitty the materials are in new cars.

the rear is a crumple zone, designed to take the impact and slow it down. Instead of a "bam" and whiplash and impact related injuries, you get the *crunch* of 3 feet of impact absorbing crumple zone.
That actually looks like really good energy absorption in that wreckage.
