Obviously i didnt do my research enough to learn that this is a common issue... Lol oh well.. Lesson learned. On to the next one.

Got some work done today. Got rid of the tangle of tubing that is the abs system... I know people say that the abs system is there to help... But it always felt so vague compared to my non abs equipped integra. It was fairly easy too with the purchase of the oem parts from the dealer and a used distribution block. The only modification needed was to the line that went to the jdm type r master cylinder... The port is on the left, and not on the right like the usdm models.

I also put in the msd 6-AL ignition box i had, but forgot to to take pictures before i got home. Ill take some tomorrow..

I don't like any ABS system I've ever driven - and as a result of extensive business travel over the past 20+ years, I've driven a bunch of them.

Yea... This silver integra is the first one that actually had abs.. The cars before didnt... And driving this one with even with the abs disabled felt very vague... Not confidence inspiring at all.. My wife's truck and pretty much all the vehicles in my family' stable get the abs fuse pulled in the winter (scary shit)

Finished up the install today. Also took out the rattly (and restrictive, it was broken on the inside) catalytic converter with a resonated test pipe, went for a spirited ride.. I love this thing!!! Saw a pretty bunch of ladies crossing the alley by my garage... Attempted to do a burnout and scare them.... Broke an axle instead... Luckily i have replacements... Got laughed at as i pushed the car in the garage... Stupid pretty ladies...

No new updates yet, going to install a 4-2-1 stainless steel exhaust header later on this week, and tighten up an exhaust pipe bolt i left loose (nasty rattle). Also want to install the arp extended wheel studs and lube up the brake system while im at it. also going to put a new oem fuel filter on, will wire up the reverse lights and the bigger type r front sway bar as soon as i get it in the mail.. Also on the to do list are the steering rack bushings (energy suspension)...

Still have to finish some stuff to finish up, but here it is as it sits now... Ill take some better pics soon...

i need to get a cam plug, adjust the valve lash, and replace the distributor o ring... maybe ill paint it when i get to all that stuff...

BS aside, the work you have done on that ride is real nice. Once you get the foundation mechanical work done, I'm sure you'll clean up the rust and corrosion. I'm right at that point with mine, once it goes back together. The mechanical is pretty much done, time for paint and upholstery.

Nice work!

why thank you mr 500, it hasnt been easy or cheap with two kids and being unemployed... life goes on...

on a happier note, took my seven year old son to his first drag strip!! he loved it!!!ill post pictures below in a bit. we actually went to help out my good friend load/unload his big block 81 camaro. its got a 468 big block in it, and a ton of other crap im not sure of. his best pass of the day (and personal best) was 12.06 @ 112mph.
