I can't agree more with everybody who has posted thus far. Actually, some gay people do piss me off, if you are gay, go ahead be gay, but do go grabbing you boyfriends ass in public, or making out with him with little kids around, if you want some respect show some. Same thing goes with the females, I love to see it, but when you have little children or senior citizens around, that is rude. Christ, when I pull up with my system bumpin' and an older person is next to me, I turn it down out of courtisy, treat people nicely and you will be treated nicely.

That's really just personal bias and your conditioning from society talking... if you truly thought everyone equal, it wouldn't bother you to see guys showing affection to each other in public more than girls or hetero couples.

But it does.

It bothers me a little too, but again- that's just the world we grew up in. I support the GLBT community, but I don't want it to encroach on my personal life. It's really a slightly hipocritical way to think about things, but that's how the world is. Most of us are pro-hetero and uncomfortable with seeing "alternative" stuff no matter how much we support it (or just say that we do).

You could argue that you're not giving proper respect to the gay couple when they're just giving each other a kiss on the sidewalk and you're uncomfortable with it, when seeing a man and woman doing the same thing doesn't bother you...

so true...im a hardcore christian but i dont exactly know how i feel about homosexuality, i know its wrong biblically, but there are many more biblically wrong things in this world people let slide by without a seconds thought. personally, gay people do NOT make me uncomfortable, they are some of the nicest people you can meet, make all the douchebag comments you want about them being nice just being a way to try to " do me in the ass" but its not like all gay people do is have anal sex all day long. still i have been hit on by a gay guy before and baraged by thier propoganda saying they are repressed in modern society when they are very much not, so i stand on steves side, but its just like a movement no one really cares about.

Not to be offensive to any of the "diverse" hondaswap members but I am so sick and tired of getting these fkn emails at work from this type of society

View why here

You know? Strait people dont have National Strait Days or clubs or organizations promoting being strait, why do they have to provoke the subject. This is work, our employement, what you do in the bedroom should have NO bearing on your work, or you work ethic. It is getting to the point where they make it a point to prove that they are gay. Who fkn cares, I'm Steve and IM STRAIT!!!!!

I feel like Im in high school again.

Same reason why there is the National Negro College Fund, and black history month. You don't see National White people month. I think it is just being brought to everyones attention b/c it's still considered a minority in most cases. I don't neccessarily think that gays should flaunt their business everywhere b/c it's just like religion, not everyone cares or agrees. Unfortunatley, I can't seem to cease the receipt of porn and spam in my mailbox, so I guess all there is to do is hit the delete button.

Typo, and it does seem hypocritical, but seriously, soceity still doesn't allow gay marriage, for the most part, so why should they kiss in public. I understand what you are saying Calesta, but it still makes sense. Soceity is messed up yes, you can't say "shit," but you can see two men kissing. What is going on? For the most part, people are offended by homosexual activity rather than cursing. Which is played into our everyday lives. For example, you are walking in a mall and some guy behinds happens to say shit, most people wouldn't think much of it. But what if you are in the same mall, and walk by to guys kissing? You are most likely to be disgusted/offended. I am just saying if you are gay that is fine with me, you decide what you want to do, but please do show respect in public, most people don't agree with your lifestyle, so please don't force it on us. Now, I am not saying that they shouldn't be allowed places, they can hold hands and hugs, but when they are playing tossil hockey, please, I don't want to see that.

im sure they are just kissing up to the gay community just to cover their own ass in case someone decides to file a discrimination suit against them. maybe someone already has, and they are making sure it doesnt happen again.

Personally, I don't think any public affection should be displayed period. Save that shit for the privacy of your own home. Holding hands, yeah thats toleratable but sucking face in public is disgusting reguardless of if your straight, or gay.

We've already had our "Diversity Week" bullshit at Hilton Hotels where I work.

We go through it all. We have a day of the week thing offering different culture's foods in the cafe, We have a big BBQ blowout for anyone and everyone who wants to attend on Friday afternoon, and Oh Yeah, they have an essay writing contest about what diversity means to you.

I hate this hypocritical shit. They are putting all the NORMAL people in the minority and lot looking back.

I work at a Hampton Inn and we didn't have diversity week...It's owned by Hilton.
I agree. I don't want to see anybody eating someone else's teeth pickings in public, gay or straight.
A kiss or two is fine, but shit, get a room.

Which Hampton are you at? I'll crash your systems tonight! :)

LOL.

Seriously, If there is anyone there at work you don't like, I can f with em... Email, Systems, PC, whatever. Being in Hilton's Corporate IT is GOOOD.

BTW< you probably didn't have it because 90% of the Hampton Inn's are Franchised bastard sites. Sorry, bro. :(

Yeah, there are two girls. Nikki and Ester. Fuck with em. Change their user passwords or something. Stupid holier than thou bitches...
Oh yeah, Hampton Inn Valdosta. VLDVM. You can do whatever you want after 9 pm, I won't be there!
Ha!

I've been checked out and hit on by gay guys and I just treat them like a chick I wouldn't be interested in. If you're truly tolerant about homosexuals don't talk about it, be about it.

Ummm.... OK?
