1. The miata does not out-perform the s2k. Can't even touch it. Not even close in handling or in a straight line.
stock for stock.. sure. but there's also a 10k price difference....
and if we're talking older miatas... you can pick up a 1st gen 1.6 for 1500 bucks.
for about 12 grand, you can have a complete spec-miata race car.

So come up with a point that matters.. One that makes sense, or one that is somewhat true. We'll have a decent conversation. Until then, STFU.
your points are mostly opinion... as are mine, and are the point of this thread.
if you've got a hard-on for an s2k, spend 25k or more on an s2000.
me, i'd rather spend 1500 and make a race car out of it, or buy the race car for 12 grand.
And to b: No, hondas are not the ultimate sports car. But they are the ultimate in reliability, affordability, and most likely, the largest aftermarket support. In their class, they do great and have the highest resale.
toyota's reliability owns hondas 4:1
toyota's affordability is on-par with honda (camry vs accord anyone?)
largest aftermarket support?? lol the chevy small block will always own this market.
class they do great--- sure. but the s2000 is in a class of its own, and in the class, its over-priced and gets its ass kicked. at least, at scca nationals it did.....
re-sale... sure, its ok. its not great though.
they fall just as fast as most cars in the first couple years, but their low limits don't drop cuz you always get the assclowns who are willing to pay 2700 bucks for a crashed CX with pep boys rims, or 3k over kbb for an si.
sorry, had to

Isn't there like, a Mazdaspeed turbo'd Miata available as well?
yeah, but who cares. 1st gen, 1.6 in race mode is where it's at
