the steering rack bushing i had made in delrin was an easy fit. used contact cement to hold it in. may drill a set screw into the bottom of it later.

So it got cold about 3 weeks ago and the car wouldnt run and when it did it wouldn’t rev. I really wanted to put it in the garage before the snow came. I gave up and let it snow shoveling around the thing. I wasn’t about to start wasting time diagnosing shit, on a fluke a grabbed a gas can put 4 galllons of 93 in that baby and the Kia roared to life.

Ive finally driven enough and finished the tank of gas plus whatever I put in it when I drove it home the first time. Might take it to shell today to fill the tank. Probably buy a 1 gallon can and keep it in the trunk for now lol. I’ve driven it about 200 miles since I fixed the rack and bearings again. I would estimate about 350 miles on the tank of gas with many hours of idling in between. Everything is still tight. Feels good. Now just sell!

Well somehow i fucked up the clockspring thanks to not securing the wires well enough and the connector tore up the replacement column panels lol so I took it apart fixed it and zip tied the wires to the wheel. All better. Adjusted the alternator belt and ready to rip again.

Cleaned up a bit, repolished the headlamps, installed some extra trim and rear wheel caps. Got a potential trade plus cash deal for a Miata. Little trade lots of cash. If it happens I’ll show you guys.

The Miata didn’t work out.

so I polished it up with a wash and wax and interior detail for a potential buyer had to call it off due to a misfire. Ugh. Looks pretty though.

So I’ve been chasing a misfire only when it’s warm. Never throws any codes. I checked and regapped the plugs to .28 . They were at .36 no idea… I swore I gapped them when I put them in years ago new. Tore the intake apart, cleaned the iacv and tps butterfly and maf and put it back together. Couldn’t get the Tb off lol. I ohmed everything. The coils primary said .6-.8 range they were .1 … so they are bad? they meter fine when warm.

Started and ran normal as it does. Fast and quiet.

i am going to replace the coilpacks and fuel filter...

Cold they should be lower resistance than warm... I don't have a lot of faith in metering coils with a LV meter though, lots of variables there...

If you can, test a new coil and see what the difference is.

The bronze wheels made this classic car, look even better. The model is quite similar to American Racing wheels AR201. You did a job well done modifying it.

the parts are already ordered i will get them tomorrow, lol

they are honda 14 inch steelies, probably from a 92-95 civic or integra.

yep, gotta replace the big bay in the front. not so much a project for me, but a few hours for a contractor and a ridiculously priced window.

What did you end up getting out of the car when it was sold?
I'm sure you'll miss it.

Pics of the bay window project?
Was the old one cracked?

I got a G for it. Haven’t missed it at all.

Old window has other year or two left in it…
