ohh noes! i have no gauges!!! :)

time to wire those in.

here's some pics. Neon mike and wildbill were over helpin out

took out my radio shit... i don't need that crap. just adds weight anyway, and i got mroe important things to listen to now anyway.

Mike fabbed up some AEBS plastic to cut out as a gauge holder. It came out pretty sick:

the endyn catch can.... didn't get to isntalling it tongiht, but took a pic anyway.

DSC01128.JPG

wild bill still hard at work.... and a shameless plug to the drifting group- DGTrials on his back :p

With the radio piece all set, it was time for the harder one- the convex a/c vent cover-up where my wideband, boost gauge, 3-step switch for the hondata, and turbo timer are going to go.

mike is testing fitting a couple cuts. he ended up using two pieces, and will be formed in the middle...

Gotta love the del sol radio trim... now you see it... now you don't

DSC01141.JPG

Bottom is done... time to work on the top.

DSC01142.JPG

this is a mess.... and this is cleaner than it was before... haha

DSC01146.JPG

turned off the lights. my camera sucks, so this is the best it gets.

DSC01152.JPG

wideband reads "air" because the car is off... lol just key on.

and, this is how everything is going to be in the top....

DSC01153.JPG

of course, much neater- and positioned... but we didn't finish the plastic frame yet, so i kinda just shoved everything in there to take pics :)

Tomorrow, we're going to mikes house to get his neon running hopefully, then, back to my place to finish up the top vent plastic, finish boring the o2 bung (long story- basically, the wide band's tip is thicker than the oem o2, even though it uses the same bung- so we need to dremel out some of the downpipe under the bung... ) then that will be hooked up-

i have a gsr master/booster to go on
brembo brakes still need to go on
catch can
fix my ghetto rig'ed radiator mount
figure out how to close the hood all the way
fix my vacuum system
Full-race is currently fabbing me a dump tube... should be here on thurs/friday lol

and probably a lot more.

its been a long year.........

Uhmmmm...Did you want those dim gauges der upside-down :g:
[post=380216]Quoted post[/post]

yup.

I learned it by watching Ji.

It's much easier to see the usable range from the seat with it upside down.

How much is full-race fabbing you a dumptube for?

Looks really good Brian. How'd you get the panel to stay in the radio slot? Double sided sticky tape?

havent' talked prices yet... lol i thnink its like 140 bucks or something- they have them in their web cart.

the panel fits--- by being a perfect cut.

snug, removable, and steady. neon mike is the man with a dremel

holy shit!!!!

Last time I was here this thread was like 5 pages...but anyways nice to see that your car is coming alone nicely.

That der gets a one of deez

Coming along nicely.

When did that Mt. Dew come out? We haven't got that here....

First time you grab a gear on sticky tires at full boost, those gauges will be hanging by the wires. I got $100 on it.

Get some screws in that thing.

HES TALKING ABOUT THE PANEL-, NOT THE GAUGES THEMSELVES. THE GAUGES HAVE A SCREW PLATE THING ON THE BACK... HARD TO DESCRIBE.

(SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS)

Ok, so the gauges have a screw bracket, that's normal... but that bracket attaches them directly to the plate, which is just forced into place without any kind of fastener besides the rigidity of the panel.

I've been there, done that. It's going to pop out.
