Stock Rod Strength

Hey, I am planning on putting some 11:1 cr pistons in my d16a6 and I was wondering if I could get away with just the stock rods, I will most likely be reving the motor fairly high on numerous occasions. Any advice would help, thanks.

you'll probably float a valve before you snap a rod

upgrading the rod bolts couldn't hurt though. ARP makes some nice ones for about 50 bucks.

just make sure you install them right. i'd recommend a machine shop doing it, as they need to be stretched/trqued correctly...
