track times tell you more about a car than a 0-60 does.
[post=524993]Quoted post[/post]

:werd:

and you could have at least put them in order :p

:fuckyou3:

top gear has a profesional driver that drives all of the cars for the test track run
so while driver style and error is still an issue, it is far less of an issue than if there was different people testing each car

Yeah but look at that list a elise got beat by almost 4 seconds by a 350z. That seems unlikely. Ive also seen a Top geart where the NSX-R ran the same time as the gallardo.

Yip, and I don't care how spunky a R32 is, I have a real hard time seeing a SL 55 AMG running the same time. Seen em both in action, and there is no comparison.

Just like lexus's new supra should be an ls430h - hybird v8; The new nsx, i wager, will be a hybird v8. They've just started with performance hybrids with the accord, it should go much further in the future.
[post=524709]Quoted post[/post]

:werd:

I think the NSX successor would have to have a hybrid powerplant.

I had an oppotunity to pick up a mid 90's for $21,000.

Hmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

i think those #s depends on the track; because in a Best Motoring race(they use JGTC drivers), the NSX-R was able to beat the Murcielago, a Ferrari(360?), and some other car(Corvette maybe?).

I want an NSX, a 97-99 with the 6-speed and a comptech SC, They go for anywhere from 40-50k, it won't be out of my price range once I graduate (december!!!!),
[post=524705]Quoted post[/post]

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ah god.. Whew... lemme catch my breath.....

Ahhhh... to be Young.

I made $120k a year at age 22 and couldn't take on an NSX payment. I couldn't take on a Supra TT payment.
[post=524749]Quoted post[/post]

If you were making 120k a year, and couldn't afford a 50,000 dollar car, you were either
a. buying too muchy crap,
b. drinking too much
c. Smoking too much of your own product.
I can telll you right now that I will have my rc51 and my NSX within 3-4 years.

Well with that, it did pretty well, and if they are using the time that they did on the episode that I saw of the NSXR, the track was wet, and it still pulled in a respectable time. The track was designed by Lotus, and on lotus "home turf" the NSX killed it. And you of all people know what a Elise is capable of. Yea its no 500,000 super car, however, it was designed to be light as hell and fast around the corners with striped down everything. Nobel is the same as the elise, however with a 300 hp turbo v6 (although to be fair, Nobel is listed twice) Also, where is the ratical. If I remember right, that pulled the fastest time ever on that track.

not 100% sure what elise they tested there
but the exige (basicly a "type R" version of the elise) scored very well
# Lotus Exige - 1.26.4

and
We only list road-going cars, so the F1 car (0.59.0), Aston Martin DBR9 (1.08.6) and Sea Harrier (0.31.2) are not on the board.

Are we talking about the VTOL jet? or is that a joke?

They need to retest those cars that were under wet conditions. It is a sin to have an NSX that close to an RX-8. I dont even like the NSX, but i know it would eat an RX-8 for breakfast.
