Was trying to vin check my 97 accord ex but the vin is only 16 digits. I have read everything from 81 and up is supposed to be 17 digits is there a reason why mine is only 16?

Did you mis count? lol Pretty sure all global market cars run the same VIN format of 17 digits

Also, look for the vin on the firewall and other areas of the car besides the door sticker. Maybe you got some 'hot' items from previous owners doing shady thing...

took a picture from under the hood and the door jam both match would only 16 digits. But I'll try the link and see what happens
