gray thingamabob is a check valve, one side goes to the brake booster (assists with braking) other side goes to the intake manifold to pick up a vacuum.
 
Does it go to the L shaped thingy ma bob on the back of the intake


:), For some reason I thought I knew this, such a newbie question for doing a motor swap
