What To Swap To A Crx

whats up, im fixing to sell my gsr for a lot more then what i bought it for, im only 17 and i dont want payments anymore but if i do have them then i dont want what i have right now, i dotn want more then 130 a month. im gonna have 3500 cash left from sellin my car and im gettin a 2000 loan. so thats 5500 to do w/ a car, im fixing to buy a 89 crx si for 1500. its in good shape but has high miles. i dotn want the engine i want to do a swap what engine should i put in it for around 2000? i was thinking b16 but i dont know anymore, i want a gsr engine b/c i love them but i dont want to spend that much for one b/c i want money left over so i can put into the car itself. if anybody has any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Find someome to buy your GSR with another motor in it and keep the B18C1 to drop in the rex.Ok never mind that is a pain in the ass,swap in a b16a1 or b18a1,both are the same obd and cable actuated clutch,and they both require the same mount kit to place them in the bay correctly.

well, if u like the GSR and u dont mind wiring, save and get it, if u gut a CRX and put a b16a in it they are relatively quick. if u want the save kinda torqey feeling u get from the GSR, get a b18a1. they make amazing torque in a CRX, and will beat most cars out there, if u get a B16a tranny u will beat them up to around 140 KM's or 80 mph, after that the vtec starts to pull on u. the B16a is also a lil over 1000 more. i got my full B18a1 setup for the following prices ( all in canadian dollers)

B18a1 engine complete = 1000
RedShift Racing Mounts = 450
ACT clutch = 400
Balanced and Lightened Flywheel= 150
Oil = 40
Platnium +4 spark plugs and wires= 150
Extra parts = 100 ( Integra cable for clutch, hoses, clamps,)
this gives a total of $2090 for a complete swap in canadian dollers, like 1200 american. I also had a Intake and exhaust i swapped over. and advanced timing. Im making about 165-170fwhp and 140 trq. for about 800 less than a b16a swap.

How are you making 35 more hp to the wheels than the stock b18a1 has at the crank,with just some bolt ons and a clutch?
