This past Sunday we got Neil's Donuts( best donuts ever in CT). I bought fucking 6 donuts and i ate 70% of them after splitting a bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll with my wife.

They are very good. It doesn't help the new location is a little over 5 minutes from my house and if I take back roads it can be on my way to work.
I can eat 4 of them a day. I split a dozen with my boys and end up eating like 7 or 8 of them. I don't workout but work construction and the place I work at is huge so I walk at least 5 miles a day so its helps to shed the weight a little.

I did an elimination diet for stomach issues last year. I lost 10 pounds and felt better. Slowly over the last year I added most of the stuff back and put on at least 10 pounds. I find it harder to stop snacking and eating like crap since giving up the diet.

My health has fluctuated a lot. I'm 6'1, and in 2019 I went from 238 to 178lbs, largely by doing HIT 2 days a week and heavy lifting 1 day a week, low carb diet and playing basketball 2-3 days a week and football 1 day.

Fast forward to being in a committed relationship, tearing my meniscus and getting married November of last year and I'm back up to 210lbs so I'm trying trying come back down. I don't have nearly as much time as I used to so I'm trying to be more efficient with what I can do. The bright side is my strength numbers have gone up a lot, when I was fully cutting I could only bench 175 and now I'm repping 205 on the bench, but I know I need to get back to dieting and doing the HIT stuff. I'll be 25 in December so I'm hitting the period in my life where I should be peaking physically and I don't want to miss out, you know?

Any advice is welcome.

I see you had decent success with low carb/keto which I have too. My advice is to jump back on that bandwagon and track what you eat using MyFitnessPal. You don't need to do it permanently; a couple months of monitoring will shed light on calorie/macro content of foods you commonly eat. Do this and watch the mirror for changes.

There's a lot of conversation about diet above so I'll add an outline of my diet below. Eating this way has taken me from 210 lbs @ ~17-20% body fat to 195 lbs and ~12% body fat. I need to check my body fat again, but I am lean enough to see striations in my shoulders, quads, chest, etc. relaxed or during a workout.
  • 1 hr eating window starting at 15:00
    • Meal 1
      • 0.5 lb 80/20 ground beef
      • 2 Mission Carb Smart tortillas
      • 2 pieces of cheese
      • 1 serving of sour cream
      • 1 medium sized avocado
    • Meal 2
      • 6-8 whole eggs
      • 2 pieces of cheese
      • 0.5 lb ground beef
      • 1 cup greens
      • 1 serving sour cream
    • Meal 3
      • 1 pint Rebel ice cream OR
      • 3 peanut butter fat bombs (cream cheese, peanut butter, monkfruit sweetener)
  • Eating window closes at 16:00
  • I consume only water or pre-workout between those hours
I'm not going to get long-winded on the benefits of intermittent fasting. If you're curious, look into it. The most noteworthy positive side effects (for me) are consistent energy throughout the day (no highs or lows), fat loss, and mental clarity.

Wow! And you prob poop once a month? My system/cholestrol would be completely F'd if I ate that much.

Haha! Once per day. This is by far the most normal my digestive system has been in a long time.

You might be surprised on the cholesterol. In short, research suggests that a low carbohydrate diet can help reduce the oxidation of cholesterol which leads to plaque buildup, clogged arteries, etc.

A friend of mine is a PA and measured improved cholesterol levels after changing his diet. I haven't had my blood work done yet but it's on the list of things to do.

Down to 202 today. Hoping to hit 195 by July 1. Haven't been able to run yet this week but pretty active. Lots of house projects going on. 6 hours pressure washing today. I absolutely love checking things off my todo list.

Wife has us going to Bend, Oregon Memorial weekend and Vegas in June so it's a bit of inspiration to keep going strong. And not wanting to be the fat dad.

Dam Matt ...190 ...nice man 190 seems like a wish that will never come true for me. I've only been working out 1 or 2 times a week over the past couple of months. Had a couple minor injury setbacks. I actually have carpal tunnel, how fucking gay is that. Couldn't feel a few fingers on my right hand. They went completely numb. Had to do some PT and splint at night. Most of the feeling came back but its not gone yet.

It's amazing how much strength you lose. I barely got 305 up. But I'm ready to get back into it. Still around weighing in around 216ish. I need my mojo back. And getting my diet in check would be nice too.

Definitely have to get that diet in check man. I made some gains with a crappy diet but they were largely "dirty" gains. Slimming down is damn near impossible without proper nutrition

Congrats Matt, definitely something I would not be able to do.

I had it in both hands. Surgery was the way to go for me. Months later my strength came back, and I was able to sleep better.

It's taken a long time to get here.. just when I think I have myself figured out, I learn something new that works better (or so it seems) lol
How to Achieve:

Eat 25 steaks between 4 and 415 pm.
Starve the rest of the day.
Exactly. Minus the starving part :D
Thanks mang!
