You must not know how an airbag control unit works. Every movie where someone hits a stationary car to trigger the airbag makes me shake my head.

I'm not entirely aware of how airbags work, but I still vote for staged. If the guy was irate enough to be revving/honking at the hag, I figure he'd explode when an airbag is shot into his face. I've heard of those things causing some serious damage on impact. A guy I work with has scars on his hands/forearms from the friction burn.

yeah a hit or a kick would not be strong enough to set off the airbag sensors. but a hit in the right place would shut off the fuel pump on some cars haha

LMAO probably staged but i dont know. on hondas you have to be going over a speed limit...i think its 15 mph or the impact sensor must be hit with a certain amount of impact. when i was sittin in a car on the lift my co worker was hitting the car underneeth looking for a rattle. i'm in drive at like 25-30 mph and looking for a good radio station-tap-tap-tap-BAMMM!!! the air bag goes off. the shop actually sent me to the hospital in an ambulance LOL i only had a slight burn on my arm from the air bag. now a mercedees might have an rpm sensor on the air bag. i'm not sure but i still think its staged. good shit

and the last Die hard movie, they had a scene where he set of the airbag in a new bmw i think? by hitting the car with a trash can.

yes we repaired the car properly...actually they did. i was in the damn ER getting looked at. insurance reasons. i had to go there 3 times when i worked at the dealer. the other 2 times i got hit by cars walking through the shop LOL. i didnt get hurt in both of those times though
