    fixed it! the problem was the main relay. i removed it and then opened it, checked out the solder, and sure enough it had a few had dry and weak joints. i desoldered and resoldered all of them and reinstalled it back into the car. it starts like it should now. thanks everybody

    man. so annoying. tried it again this morning, and it didnt start. i've been researching some more and the only thing thats left, it seems like, is the main relay. im going to take it out and check out the solder connections and re-solder if needed. hopefully this is the last fix.
