I didnt want to thread jack the other dudes build thread so I'll start my own. This is my first attempt at anything honda related, so constructive critisism is welcome. My local track opened up to allow fwd cars this year, first time ever...so thought I'd give it a shot. Ive raced dirt for 2 years in a truck, and saw this as an oppertunity to give em hell with a honda. Its a 90 CRX with an Ls Vtec motor tuned on chrome, gsr trans, kyb agx struts with megan coilovers. Enough blah blah...heres the pics...

    when I picked it up...

Where did you get those wheels, Ive been wanting a set (not such crazy offset) and have had trouble finding them in a 4x100 or are you running adapters?

Thanks for the props...the wheels are aero racing wheels from summit...4"bs is as big as they offer, may be able to do custom offsets though if you contacted them. no adapters.

yeah our new class is called mini outlaws...any 4cyl no turbo no nitrous or super chargers, is pretty much the limit on motors. and they have to weigh 1800lb to line no driver. Should be fun, Ive heard lots of guys whippin up on the mustangs and pintos with d15's so the lsv oughtta hold its own. I would love to see pics of other dirt track hondas if anyone has em post em on this thread thats cool...thanks again

i usually would be saddened by another crx becoming a crappy track car, but after seeing the pictures of what you did, i am amazed. i sat there with my jaw on the ground for about five minutes. very awesome way to go fast. sounds like a blast to dirt race. make sure to get some video of the "mad rex" on the track.

Yeah lol I was hoping the honda community wouldnt be too enraged on the destruction of a perfectly good CRX. I will take good care of it, and let it serve out its years in racing glory...hopefully with a couple of wins.;) thanks again for the kudos

trust me Ethan you wouldnt want it now...plus the car had been in an accident before I got it, has lots of bondo in the driver side. really hard to see until you run a 2 1/2" holesaw through the bumpers and doors.
