They fucked up now.

My cousin, who is in the marines, was just deployed there. He doesn't do rescue. He doesn't do aid. He kills. Thats what his job is. They sent an entire batallion of those fuckers there. They were the ones who took Faluja..sp?.. I saw the marine videos that people don't see.. The USMC can be quite ruthless. A car pulls in front of a convoy, gets blown to fucking smitherines. Convoy never even slowed down. A group of "terrorists" jumped out in front of a convoy.. They lit them up like a fucking christmas tree.. You could see limbs flying off.. chunks of skull just spattering all over the damned place. They just ran over the remains and kept trucking.

Good luck looters :D

Again, daily life in gang terriroty. These people joke about splattering brains on the street. And they've been in it a lot longer than six months. :)

[post=548935]Quoted post[/post]

Daily life in gangland is nothing compared to combat. I don't care how hard your hood is, there is nothing in America that compares to a real warzone. And I'll put money on six months of disciplined combat training, and a year in a combat zone over "y0 dawg, I's gonna blast j00" anyday of the week.

:werd: One of my best friends is a US Marine. Lucky for him, he's stationed in Japan and is a Nuclear and Biological Defense Specialist. But he's met with people first hand from Iraq, and told me many of the stories. There's a big difference between thought out, tactical war and gang firefights.

Don't get so offended by our remarks about the boys in the hood about to get their asses handed to them, it's just that well, been there done that, got the shirt. We had a couple hard hitters in our unit, liked to shit themselves the first time an RPG hit about twenty feet from us.

You can laugh at busting caps in gramdmas head and licking her brains off Lil Kims tits all day, but taking on soldiers that are trained to actually shoot, and move in urban enviroments, with superior equipment, command and control, ammo supply and have been battle tested in worst conditions is a losing proposition. You kicking your dads ass has about as much relevence as telling us you wear blue boxers on wednsday...none. And make no mistake, there are no wars compaible to a real war on Americas streets, random shootings, spray and pray, sideways Glocks leaning out of an Tahoe is not war it's retarded. Motherfuckers talking about "I'm a sol-ja y0" ain't shit. Any fucking moron can pick up a gun and shoot someone for scuffing his Nikes, or selling rock on his corner, that doesn't make someone a man.

heres what they need to do, when ever they see anyone carrying a gun around on the streets simply tell them to drop/surrender the gun, if they dont listen fucking shoot them. period. theres no reason to be walking the street with armed weapons i dont give a fuck where you are unless your in a war zone.

i'll tell you right now though... if i was down there, i'd be packing for my own personal protection.

Im with B on this one. I saw a thing on the news and this dude was lookin for personal effects in what was once his house. Guess what, he had a 9mm Glock on his hip. Just because someone has a gun dosnt make them evil bastards. If they are using it for personal gain, shooting at rescrue crews, hospitles ect. then its a problem. It is our right as Americans to own weapons.

The mayor of NO has already stated that he wants Martial Law declared there. If Bush did try and take the Martial Law thing way out of hand.... Well it really wouldnt be pretty. Martial Law isnt somthing that should be over used because your going to have hellava lot of pissed off people on your hands.

My biggest point I would like to comment on is the people saying, "Let the dumb fucks die." Think about it like this, lets say you are slapping a turbo kit on your car or somthing of that nature. So it dosnt run right? Well what if the day you got it all apart you click the news on and say, everyone leave now or somthing to that effect. What the hell are you gonna do? You are probably going to be stuck there. There are poor people in NO just like everyone else and not everyone can afford a car. Another thing is I would imagine that people wouldnt be stoping for hich-hikers when God is unleasing hell on Earth.

On kind of a side note, I really hope that people do not take this thread way out of hand and have it get locked. It is always great to get other peoples ideas and opinions. And rember they are just that Idea's and Opinions.

in 2 days you can easily walk out of NO, or find friends to ride with, or hitchhike for that matter.
you better believe if i loved below sea level and a cat 5 was coming at me i would not be sitting around with my thumb up my ass.
mandatory evac was given 2 days in advance. thats plenty of time ot find some way to leave.

Right, and if you weren't in a streetgang trying to take control of the chaos, and take advantage of opportunity, and shooting at rescue workers and a law enforcement official told you to put your weapon down, you explain you are protecting your property, and are on your way. That's how things work for people that abide by the rules. Brother and dad both carry. Get stopped by a cop' "here's my permit" then "thank you sir have a nice day". Hell, they have interviewed people standing watch, armed, over their homes, if you're right, you're right.

we offerd far more than than, we offerd 200 water stations ( the ones that work like crazey and are used world wide due to there simplicity), rations, mps, and our disaster team. Has bush said come ? well no why?
Cuba has offerd 1500 doctors, has bush said yes?

the US will NEVER accept aid from a country that isn't in the top 4 of friendly countries, and will NEVER accept aid from a Communist or otherwise anti-american form of government. That's poor strategy.

We have enough of our military to make this whole thing work out just fine. To take money or aid from a country like Bolivia, Venezuela, Korea or China (and we simply CAN NOT take aid from a middle-eastern country) would make our posiiton and status weak - Not to mention, we DO have plans to get into wars with these people.

Allow 1500 cubans onto US shores without electronic bracelets ? They'll hit the piers and just start running inland, looking desperately for baseball bats and balls to try to get citizenship. No thanks.

actually the head of homeland security said they would accept any aid that was offered and last i saw the list was about 10 countries long. venezuala was on it.

Luckily, the head of homeland can't make that call :)

I think it would be the stupidest thing we can do. Obviously, Chavez has something up his sleeve - We fund his anti-chavez coups.

venezuela was on the list of countries that we have ALREADY accepted donations from....

look it up lol

awww Hell. Bad news to my ears. How can we ever invade someone when the public has shit like this to refer to ?

Crap.

I told so many Katrina / looting jokes tonight that I have a headache. These things write themselves.

Asked what I was having for dinner: "Some pasta and some sauce that I had to make from the garden... a New Orleans favorite since last friday"

My friend said he needed new pants.. "Why don't you go down and loot a few pairs"

Talking about stuff that will get all the grime off of my grille .... "A little New Orleans water will remove paint from a car !"

Oh god, I'm tired.

lmao

My opinion is most of the people who stayed simply stayed so they could 'run the streets'. I think this is making a bad reputation for that town...
I heard tonight on the radio that one relief group trying to get in to the city was turned away...a group of 90 people with medical supplies, water, food and clothes. probably because of the violent conditions. I'm not a fan of bush, I think this is on the mayor of the town.

this is an update to the original storyu on pg1

*UPDATE*

Here is the *update* thread I posted today...

Well I attempted fate again and went back to the city. Didn't want to start a flame fest so I figured I'd post afterward. Most of you will not/do not understand WHY I went back but I think some will. This time we went in broad daylight and initially there was to be five but ended up three. We were armed w/ two pistols each(plus 2 back up) and each having 12-gague shot guns (Police/Military spec Remington 870). Once again we were force through 5 checkpoints had to show ID. At the last checkpoint the State Trooper asked "Are you carrying" to which we said yes and he then replied "Good, you may have to use them."

Overall the Westbank of the city is pretty dry, surprisingly. We exited at Tchoupitoulas and it is right near the Superdome w/people everywhere. The road was clear and we didn't stop. First we went to my buddy's house on Magazine which was dry as a bone, no water what so ever. My bro and I set up a perimeter while Lance went inside to get his stuff. Heilo's were everywhere, Coast Guard, local oil company, Huey's and even Blackhawks. I'm outside and these two people pass pushing a shopping car and the women is staring at the gun. She said "Damn dat's a big 'ole gun, I just smiled and shook my head "yes". A truck full of National Guards pass by and when they saw us they cheered "Who Hoo" I'm assuming b/c the guns. What was frightening was they they didn't have any guns! We finished there and went on to my house. I was pretty pumped because Lance's house was dry and only a couple blocks down from mmine on the other side of St. Charles. Well my joy shortly faided when every street was covered with water and 200yr old oak branches. We turn the corner and see one of the famous historic New Orleans homes, I mean MANSION to be inhabited by a family who OBVIOUSLY did not live there. I mean this is easily a $5-6 million dollar home and these people are sitting on the porch, kids playing football in the yard, clothes strung out on the lawn. I just couldn't believe it.

The closest I could get to the house without submerging the truck was 5 blocks, great. Water was up to my waist and I'm 5'10. At one point we had o "tightrope walk" across a cemetery wall because the water was so deep it was easily over our heads. As we are walking we are passing families sitting on the porch just watching us, I felt sorry for them. We finally make it to the house and there is about 4ft of water in front which is good because the house is 6ft off the ground. I was happy the house was dry and not looted. We check the house and it's safe and we grab the bare essential, clothes, pictures, documents. I had to leave my new TV, computer, stereo, etc. Well I had about 50lbs in each hand which I soon learned was too much. I'm not weak by any means but carrying 80-100lbs that many blocksabove water was WORK!. Sadly we couldn't get the Harley, but for now it is safe and dry. We gave the family on the porch a couple gallons of water from the truck on the way back.

Next we go to Lance's GF's house and while I'm outside making sure everything is cool a neighbor walks up w/ a sidearm and asked if the Military has arrived yet. I tell him about the troops that rode by earlier and he stated he's shot at several people trying to loot neighbor's houses and cars. He was out of 12 gauge buckshot so I gave him a box.

So we are loaded up and heading toward the bridge when we pass the Wal-Mart on Tchoupitoulas and see two soldiers guarding the store. We pull up to talk to him and I guess he saw the shotguns and he IMMEDIATELY drew his weapon. I'm still now certain what type of fully automatic rifle it was (no M16 or anything like that). Anyway we all put our hands up and ask him if it was safe to exit up ahead and if he needed anything like water, ammo, etc. He said "I'll take all the ammo you can spare". I asked if they are low already and he stated that in anticipation of the storm they sent all the weapons and ammo to Jackson,Ms and it flooded before they could get to them. So THAT is why none of the Guardsmen are carrying. We gave him all the ammo we had minus what was in our clips. So they ended up w/ around 5-6 boxes of buckshot and 150-200 rounds of hollow point .45

He then said 'Be careful up ahead they are rioting at the Superdome. Whatever you do DO NOT STOP. We leave and take the on ramp and infront of us is 200-300 people blocking the on ramp trying to get out of the city. We put out guns to the windows(they have been carjacking every car leaving the city) held the horn and never dropped below 15mph. People were moving away then rushing the truck but after seeing the guns they backed off. I really felt bad for some of those people because they looked tired and have a looong walk ahead of them but we weren't taking any chances
