found a guy on CL who wanted to trade my les paul studio for this, so i jumped on it. I haven't played the paul in close to 2 years anyway.

ibanez xiphos. dope black/red chameleon paint. sounds bad ass. totaly different playing style with this body... gonna take a bit to get used to. but that tone..... so sweet it's what i've been missing

even trade. cost me nothing but an hour trip to meet him half way

I really, really, really hope it was an Epiphone les paul.....

no, a real gibson. it was only a studio, not a standard. it had some dings on it and some mold on the hardware... its been in a gig bag for years. i realize it was a 1000 vs 700 trade, but its what i wanted... and mine wasn't in that great of shape anyway, so i think it was pretty even. I never played the paul. neck is too damn fat, has a wack 25.5 scale instead of 27", doesn't sound that great for the stuff i play... i just grew out of it so i took the trade to something i've wanted since it came out.

dimebag playes mostly Dean flying V's. its kinda similar, but not quite. this is an "X", not a "V"

i really suck at this guitar. its WAY different. so, here's my garbage video messing around. i need to learn how to play this thing. everything is in a different place than what i'm used to... even pinch harmonics are on a different position over the pickups than i'm used to... sounds awesome though... just not in my hands (yet)
