Use your D15 harness, and a couple of the sensors from it. You'll se what sensors when thier plugs don't fit. 1 is a temp sending unit, don't remember the other one. So are you saying you have a cable LS tranny?? IS there a worse B series tranny??
I've got some spare trannies taking up space. All have been checked out and are in good shape. Selling for Best Offer + Shipping. Shipping will cost around $60.
I have the following transmissions: 96 EX, 96 DX, 89 DX, & 94 CX
It's definately an alternator problem. If the belt is tight start shopping for a new one.
FYI any parts store will load test it and you will know for sure.
If it's tested while it's cold it will check out as ok. It's pretty easy to tell if it's the relay though. Next time just take it to the dealer. At least they will tell you what's wrong, even if you don't want to pay for them to fix it.
PROBLEMS:
1. Did you try from under the car?
2. Learn how to solder. Look it up online if nothing else. It's the only way to do it right.
3. Use a dremel and make new places for a screwdriver. Then get an impact screwdriver ( you hit it with a hammer, it works really well)
4. Back bolt is...
You cannot put a 1.6 crank in a 1.5. To use the PM7/P29 pistons in a 1.5 you need VX rods. The only way to get a 1.6 crank in a 1.5 would be extensive machine work = you could have just bought a 1.6 shortblock and went from there. If you are building a 1.5, upgrade to MPFI if you need to, then...
The 92-00 DX/LX's had 4 wires just like all of the others. 4 wire = HO2S (Hot O2 Sensor)
There is no B series O2 sensor. You just need a 4 wire primary HO2S. One from an accord or prelude will work just the same. Have the guy at autozone look up as many hondas and acuras as you can think of...
Chepest would be the 7/8 MC from a 92-95 Civic EX it works with the 13/16 booster. If you already have that get SS lines and a 15/16 & booster from a 90 prelude or get your line reflared for the 1 inch MC & booster.
Just use the ones that are supposed to be for auto tranny. There are 4 or 5 unused wires. Cut them off about 6 inches up and pull them and put them where you need them.
Keep in mind the aftermarket A6 cams are all options too. Delta has some great regrinds for less than $120, no core required.
The 1.5's really like the A6 cam, Z6 IM and 60mm TB. With these and IHE tuned properly you are near 130-135 crank HP. If you really want to make more power you have to...
Call a machine shop, preferably the one you dealer uses. They'll have the same thing for half the price. It's what they use when they work on the motors for Honda. The ACL bearings are nice. For $100 you can get both and you don't have to worry about figuring out what color you need.
Yes he'll be fine. especially if he swaps the manifolds over. Almost all the sensors are on the Intake manifold anyway. Only issue may be the distributor, but I'm sure you can make it work, or get a used one for $40 off ebay.
