91 si tranny

what are the makings on a si tranny, I know it's L3XXXXXX
how do you know the difference between the si and dx tranny???

the only major difference is the final drive ratio. other than that all other gearing is exactly the same. Yet I'm not 100% sure how to tell the difernce by just the L3 number on the tranny, but near the drain plug most si tranny's say either pl3/3000, pl3/5000,PL3/6000 I believe the DX tranny says PL3/1000

you cannot tell which transmission you have by looking at the outside
