Adjusting (Cable) clutch on 91 Civic si

1991 Honda Civic si 1.6L

I have the old style cable clutch, is there a way to adjust the cable.

When cold the clutch shudders a bit on start off, but after it warms up after a few shifts its fine.

Cable adjustment is on the cable itself where it attatches to the transmission. lift up on the knob and turn it.. But I would check the freeplay and adjust accordingly. A haynes or chiltons should cover the specs. I don't have either on hand.

Thanks phyregod, i had a look at the cable and there seems to be a bit of play but i not sure if its to much or just normal play. I'll take your advice and look for a manual.
