I read somewhere that the SK7 is a U.S. model tranny and the Y1 is the jdm version.
The difference is a y1 is limited-slip and the the U.S version is not. the way to see if your tranny is ltds is to look through the axle hole in the trans. If you can see straight through it is limited-slip. If your view is obstructed by the round shaft from the shift linkage then it is a U.S version non limited-slip.
