b16a2 into gsr?

Kinda stupid but a friend wants me to do it. Its B-series to B-Series, VTEC already wired in, so its basically bolt-in, correct? 1999 B16a2 going into a '94 GSR.

If the car is a 94 and the motor is from 99 then you'll also need to do an OBD conversion.

And yeah, why is he wanting to do this??

you'll need the SI t-belt and, water pump
and compression is at around 10.50

is the GSR harness still in there???
if so just swap out the plugs for the distributor, injectors, and alternator... or if you still have access to the GSR engine take those parts off and put them on the B16

he means the plugs for the harness. obd1 wiring harness has different plug connections than the obd2 connections on the distributor and other parts like injectors and shit. you either have to modify the plugs on the parts that dont plug directly in to the harness, which can suck, or you can just swap your obd1 parts on to plug right in to your obd1 harness, which is much easier. btw, why would you put a b16 in a heavy car like a teg? no torque= no fun, especially in a teg. you already have a gsr, why not just rebuild it?

Just makin sure we were talking about the same thing, which was swapping out obd2 parts to obdI. Well this Teg is missin its drivetrain, and for some reason the guy who owns it wants to take the SI motor out of his SI and drop it in the teg.

Thats a bad idea, if the motor is already in the SI and the SI is good then leave it in and sell the car, or you could pull the motor, sell it to get some cash and then buy a GSR to swap into the teg. which would be a fun car

??????, WTF are you guys talking about. Going from an obd2 to obd1 is practically plug and play. Use the gsr harness and ecu with the gsr injectors and distributor(or cut the plug of the si one and solder on the two gsr plugs) and it will run great. The only difference is that the obd2 si motor uses a secondary crank sensor located on the oil pump. Everything else is the same. Also the intake air temp sensor for the si may be in the intake hose instead of the intake manifold, if so try to find an obd1 intake mani and you will be straight.
