I had that same thing happen to my friends brother's girlfriends crock pot she took it to the dealer and they said it needed a new rheostat but they wanted to charge a shitload and she couldn't afford it so we went to the junkyard and found an old pot n ripped out the old one and then took hers out n the new one didn't fit so I bypassed the control so it was stuck on high but man that thing cooks the shit out of some chicken.
