oem bottom end for know. i am not even going to open it up due to cost and time. i will leave the engine basicaly stock except the throttle body, everything is machine work, wish me luck
this is the reason i had it budjet my project
but well worth it. isn't she georgus.
Abigail is her name.
i should pick up my cylinder head next week.
now all i need is a clutch and header
talk to you soon.
thanks alot. i am using image shack and soon i will figure how to resize.
hopefully i will update with pics of the block and the finished head and intake manifold
hey im back. i pick up my head form the machine shop today. also drop off my throttle body to him. they said it would be a rpm service but they sent me a rs machine. still good.
hear are some resized pics of the head ready to go on the block.
i shoul be ready to go in 4 weeks
i have other pics but i havent got time.
i this is only a stage two head. the next one i have will be alot more aggressive along with alot more manifold work. the manifold for this engine is getting alot morework done. upper half is getting welded around the plate and i am going to go with a remote idle control valve if we cannot use stock fitment. this is a very intresting build. i cant wait to get in up and running. completley stock bottem end.
i will post pics of the manifold when i get it back.
i might even sell them.
i looking into a very thin head gasket to up compression. maybe cosmic. which company makes the thinest, or who can make me a custom one?
i know it been a long time but soon, very soon
intake manifold is taking some time to come together
74mm requires alot of fabracation.
props to B&L machine in the bronx. always good work
maybe it another 2 weeks i will be done.
should be worth the wait
here it is. its not finished yet but it starting to shap out.
all i had them do is over bore and port match about 1 1/2 inches.
i will finish the rest up my self
this is how it should be done
welded and seamed. idle valve it factory location.74mm
hopefully i will be done and tearing up the street soon
(200whp)maybe
i am going to cut the runners into a half moon and as deep in as posible and shape and widen the entrance of the runners as much as posible. trying to create high rpm flow and velocity.
the best flow bench that i have is my craftman wet/dry vack.
serious
here we go
i have some comparison pick to show against the stock gasket
we did alot of work and i wonder if it was just easier to pick up another manifold(endine,jg,etc)but we will find out
thats how the oem gasket sit in their. rpm's here we go
oop's
i will try and use a trimmed type r gasket or gasket paper.
