You won't need to re-tune it. A stock obd2 ecu will run the car provided it had stock injectors and sensors. No matter what you do, it's gonna be a bitch.

All you can do is try to put the factory obd2 ecu in with stock injectors. You are going to have to wire up all of the sensors that will make the obd2 ecu happy. Such as the secondary o2 sensor you probably dont have anymore. Correction your missing that and the primary because your are running in open loop. So yeah, you get the idea, you will have to temporaily make all of these sensors happy and hope to god you pass.

yeah i think i have a solution though
Wont it throw a code in limp mode? Auto-FAIL.
ha, yeah if i did it right it wouldnt be in limp mode though

that just sounds like too much work for me. so i think im going to register it at my grandpas address (he lives in idaho in an area where emissions arent req'd). is there any problems i might run into with this? my dad suggested it but didnt really explain

oh yeah, and i think im going to be trading some spare parts for a k24a4 long block, so this build could be taking a whole new direction. k24/k20a-T anyone?

Out of state registration usually isn't a problem. That's why in NY and NJ you see tons of other license plates. Off the top of my head I know people that live around her with FL, NC, VA, and a few others.

alright cool, thats the plan then
just got the rear seats back in today. had to transfer the cloth and foam over to another frame cuz i stripped a bolt out inside mine. :/

all this talk is freaking me out man. my p28 in my 98... bummer. This is the lame part of the tuner world.. emissions. That k24/k20 idea would be crazy! Swap it in the accord! just kidding. talk about a freakin twist. poppin the hood on an cb7 and seeing a k-series motor.

hah that would be cool. though im not sure how feasible it would be a nice platform for the accord
but nah i think the k24/20 build will be a nasty all motor setup. i will slowly build it on the side and when i get out of school ill finish it and find something to put it in.

you should post up some recent pictures of the build... or vids are even more fun to see :p

picking up a b16 head on friday for $220. complete minus the dizzy and intake mani

build on this head will start this summer. ill probably end up putting it on the car next year.

LS/VTEC turbo...love it! You don't need the inatake manifold, or do you?

So what does the B16 head do to your compression?

You comin to my side of the hills this spring?
yes sir i will be going to speedfactory for a dyno tune on methanol. then to seattle for a couple days to just hang out and relax!

well, im not 100% if the victor x for my ls can be mated to the b16. but if not, ill see what i can do with the local machine shops.

well, its going to bring it from ~9.0:1 static(where it's currently sitting at) to ~9.55 static according to this calculator:
Compression Calculator - Honda, Acura Tech Website, tutorials, tuning and HOW-TO's. Drag racing, street racing, road racing - C-speedracing.com

this is somewhat of a long term build though. im going to be driving the car on 400whp for quite some time im sure.

everyone is going to think im insane for saying this, but i think the year i get out of college im going to strip this sucker down again. go fully built lsvtec turbo, strip the interior out, take all the glass out, etc. and re paint it a midnight blue like i have always wanted.

yeah we will! we need to get a NW meet together. maybe just a small one. itd be cool if the bc kids could make it down too.

yeah thatd be cool.
im just excited to get this thing tuned on methanol. i might have them make me two seperate chips. so i can switch to the safer tune when i run out, and maybe just run the meth at the track.

I thought if you were gonna run meth you need to run two walbro 255 pumps, 1600cc injectors and shit can your stock gas tank and use a plastic one.
