OBD1 conversion using obd0 dizzy?

My buddy told me I don't have to use a OBD1 dizzy to convert to obd1...I have the ecu jumper harness and 4 wire oxy sensor.
I;ve read that everyone uses a jumper harness to use an obd1 dizzy....
Is what he's saying true?
At first he said to convert the dizzy to obd1 but then he said it's not even neccessary and that the b16 obd0 dizzy will work with a p28....

i'm with everyone here.

you can NOT use an obd0 distributor.

you CAN splice the wires from the obd0 harness to work with the obd1 distributor and plug.

if you can get that obd0 dizzy working with a p28, i will paypal you 100 dollars.
