I have a 90 CRX si, and it has no a/c.. Never did. Came from the factory that way.

ANYWAY...

Buy a 90-91 civic hatch. An si is a plus, but I dont think you'll find one for a G.. It'll be slow going up hill, but you dont have a choice with a grand...

Although it might be hard to find one for $1K, some can be had really cheap (aound $1.5-2K), if you can fix them. I'm talking about an Acura Legend. My wife has a 2G sedan, and it's very powerful (mid 15s quarter mile), roomy, reliable, very stable, and can cruise with the best. It'll do 100mph pampering the passangers all day, and climb with the best. I heard one with intake and custom exhaust, and they sound wicked. Find one with high miles or needing repair, and you're in business.
